SUMMARY:Self-Realization Fellowship | Monthly Community Meditation
DESCRIPTION:MONTHLY SUNDAY MORNING MEDITATION \nAll are welcome to attend the monthly SRF Community Meditation offering\, based on the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. \nMeetings are held on the first Sunday of each month in the Meditation Room on the second floor of True Nature. This is a donation based offering. \nArrival Time: 9:00 a.m. (to settle in)\nService Begins Promptly: 9:15 a.m.\nThrough the steady practice of yoga meditation\, it is possible to experience a deepening sense of peace\, love\, compassion\, and joy. As inner transformation unfolds\, its positive influence naturally extends outward—first to family and community\, and eventually to the world at large. \n“Reform yourself\, and you will reform thousands.” — Paramahansa Yogananda \n“You realize that all along there was something tremendous within you and you did not know it.”\n– Paramahansa Yogananda\, author of Autobiography of a Yogi \nParamahansa Yogananda (1893–1952) is widely recognized as one of the most influential spiritual figures of the 20th century and has been hailed as the “Father of Yoga in the West.” Born in India\, he came to the United States in 1920\, where he spent more than 30 years teaching India’s ancient science of meditation and the art of balanced living. \nHis many books have introduced millions to the universal truths underlying the world’s spiritual traditions. The award-winning documentary Awake: The Life of Yogananda was released in 2014 and continues to inspire audiences around the world. \nYogananda’s legacy continues through the Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF)\, the organization he founded in 1920 to disseminate the teachings of Kriya Yoga. Through its global outreach\, SRF aims to awaken a deeper understanding of the harmony underlying all true religions and to foster a greater expression of divine love—the love that unites all people in their oneness with God. \nParamahansa Yogananda welcomed seekers of every faith. The benefits of the scientific methods of yoga he taught do not depend on belief\, but arise from direct personal experience of the Divine. \nSuggested Reading:\nAutobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda \nTo Learn More:\nExplore Yogananda’s teachings\, Kriya Yoga\, and the complete SRF path at yogananda.org \nhttps://www.truenaturehealingarts.com/events-workshops

DESCRIPTION:REGISTER\n \n \n SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION\n \nOctober 26th\, 20259AM – 3PM13 Moons Ranch\, 6334 Highway 133\, Carbondale\, CO 81623Lunch will be provided$149\nFacilitated by Bridger Langfur & Kyle Jason Leitzke \nJoin us for an enriching indoor–outdoor retreat designed specifically for men who want to show up at their best—at work\, at home\, and within themselves. Meditation is proven to reduce stress\, sharpen focus\, improve sleep\, and support overall well-being\, but many men struggle to find their way in. Maybe it feels intimidating\, maybe past attempts felt like “doing it wrong\,” or maybe it just seems like another self-care to-do. \nThis retreat is different. It’s a one-day experience to make meditation simple\, practical\, and enjoyable—grounded in the reality of men’s lives and challenges. Together\, we’ll move through guided practices\, group discussion\, and outdoor exploration that leave you recharged\, centered\, and equipped with tools you’ll actually use. You’ll return to your family\, work\, and life more present\, more resilient\, and more at ease. \nThe Retreat Agenda\nMorning – Presence (Outdoor Option if Weather Permits)Kick off the day with grounding exercises and breathwork designed to reconnect you with your body and promote present-moment awareness. If the weather cooperates\, this session may take place outside to fully embrace the natural environment. This practice will help you release built-up stress\, cultivate confidence\, and develop tools to better understand and manage your emotions. Men often carry stress silently\, but through these practices\, you’ll learn how to feel it\, move through it\, and let it go—setting a strong foundation for the day ahead. \nMidday – NourishEnjoy a nourishing lunch provided for the group\, offering a valuable opportunity to slow down and connect with the group. During this meal\, we’ll incorporate mindful eating practices to help you savor each bite\, paying close attention to the sensory experience—sight\, smell\, taste\, and texture. This practice encourages you to be fully present with your food\, recognize true hunger and fullness cues\, and foster your relationship with eating. Sharing this mindful moment together can deepen your sense of gratitude and presence\, transforming a routine meal into a nourishing act of self-care and connection. \nAfternoon – Depth The afternoon will be split into two enriching sessions aimed at deepening your understanding and experience of meditation and mindfulness. The first session\, led by Kyle Leitzke\, will explore the purpose and benefits of meditation\, including how it can help manage emotions like anger\, burnout\, and distraction\, while easing the pressure to perform. Kyle will share insights and facilitate discussion\, helping you see how mindfulness can be integrated into everyday life for greater resilience. \nFollowing this\, we will transition into a second\, immersive session—a deep dive into guided meditation led by Bridger Langfur. This guided practice will give you the opportunity to experience firsthand the calm and clarity that meditation can bring. Bridger’s approach will help you develop a personal meditation routine and understand how to cultivate mindfulness in daily practice. \nTogether\, these sessions will provide both practical understanding and experiential growth\, equipping you with tools to incorporate meditation into your daily life and navigate life’s challenges with greater ease. \nClosing – AnchorTogether\, we’ll create simple\, actionable plans to integrate these practices into your routine\, empowering you to carry the calm\, clarity\, and confidence forward. Leave feeling energized\, centered\, and equipped with a renewed commitment to your own well-being. \nThe Facilitators\nBridger LangfurOriginally from Carbondale\, Bridger recently returned to the valley after a decade in Southern California as a community organizer and teacher. He brings with him a deep passion for men’s work\, a commitment to fostering supportive networks\, and extensive experience navigating diverse communities and conflict resolution. Bridger’s grounded leadership style creates an environment where men can show up fully\, supported\, and seen. \nKyle Jason LeitzkeKyle is equal parts soulful and down-to-earth. His approach blends depth and levity—whether tuning into your soul or processing heavy truths\, he’s also known to laugh about the absurdity of life. He is passionate about helping men rewire mental\, emotional\, and physical patterns to move beyond “functional trauma” and truly enjoy life. As a coach\, trainer\, and speaker\, Kyle exists to guide men into right relationship with themselves\, creating space for peace\, authenticity\, and joy in the wild ride we call life. \n \n REGISTER\n \n \n SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION\n \nLimited scholarships are available.

SUMMARY:Concentric Recovery Monthly Meetings
DESCRIPTION:Community Offering | Please register online for this in person event. \nJoin us\, in community\, every third Tuesday at True Nature in Carbondale\, as we combine physical practice with prompt-based discussion and connection around the central questions of addiction and recovery\, with a focus on its social and spiritual dimensions. \nWhat if addiction were a call? An opportunity? An open doorway through which we could pass into a deeper and more participatory version of our lives? \nFrom screens\, to substances\, to work\, to sex- there is no shortage of opportunities to tune out of that which troubles us into a world of temporary ease and distraction. For many of us\, the very things that help us avoid pain become problems of their own. This is the basic cycle of addiction\, and it is pervasive in the world today. \nNo prior experience necessary. All bodies and levels are welcome.* \nConcentric Recovery meetings are for people of all ages who:\nExperience mild to moderate addiction(s)* (This program is not a great fit for those experiencing severe addiction)**\nAre affected by addiction in the life of someone close to them\nAre willing to learn more about addiction and recovery\nAre willing to explore new tools and methods for moving through the negative effects of addiction\nAre curious about the social and spiritual dimensions of addiction \n*Addiction is a chronic condition characterized by compulsive engagement in rewarding stimuli (such as substances or behaviors) despite adverse consequences.\n**Severe addiction is characterized by continuing behavior despite serious physical\, psychological\, social\, and/or legal repercussions. \nDavis Cowles is the Program Lead and head facilitator for Concentric Recovery. He teaches yoga and breathwork for people in recovery\, and is walking through the doorway of addiction himself. Learn more about Davis at our ticketing/RSVP page. \nThe Concentric Recovery program offering is an educational initiative of the Connection is the Medicine Foundation. SUMMARY:The ReMemberers: The Lindworm featuring John DeKadt | Part Theatre Part Concert Part Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:The ReMemberers: The Lindworm featuring John DeKadt\nThursday\, October 9th | 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM | True Nature Kiva\nTrue Nature Healing Arts\n100 North Third Street Carbondale\, CO \nEarly Bird $30\nFull Price $45 \nA mythic “prayer-formance” weaving story\, song & ritual—The Lindworm awakens ancient memory through music\, myth & wild feminine power. \nVIEW TRAILER & REGISTER NOW through our ticketing page! \nThe ReMemberers are a multidisciplinary performance collective weaving ritual storytelling\, sacred song\, and live instrumentation into a prismatic experience of traditional myth and memory. Part theatre\, part concert\, part ceremony\, their gatherings awaken ancient stories from folkloric and mystical traditions\, carried by music that is both ancestral and original. \nTheir latest offering\, The Lindworm\, draws from an old Scandinavian tale—a myth of transformation\, reconciliation\, and the quiet power of the wild feminine. At its center is a serpent born of secrecy and longing\, whose appearance unsettles a kingdom. It is not through force\, but through the deep instincts of a fearless shepherdess\, that the healing begins. This is a story not just told\, but felt—a mirror to the inner work of shedding what no longer serves and reclaiming what was once forgotten. \nFeaturing the numinous voice of Annie Southard\, the global instrumentation of Alex Harvey\, and the rhythmic storytelling of John de Kadt\, The ReMemberers offer a space of immersive listening. For many\, their performances unfold like a meditation—drawing the listener into stillness\, memory\, and quiet revelation. The result is less a show than a ceremony – the artists often call it “prayer-formance”: a shared experience that touches the personal\, ancestral\, and collective all at once. \nThe Lindworm is an invitation to soften\, to receive\, and to remember. Within the container of rhythm\, story\, and song\, a space opens—for resonance\, reflection\, and renewal. \nThe ReMemberers: \nJohn de Kadt | An internationally acclaimed percussionist and storyteller whose work has captivated audiences across Europe\, Asia\, and North America. A master of global rhythms and spoken word\, John has performed alongside legendary artists such as Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead\, kirtan luminaries Krishna Das and Jai Uttal\, yoga pioneer Shiva Rea\, and devotional song maestro Gaura Vani.
