SUMMARY:Pathway to Stillness: Yoga for Meditation - 3 DAY Immersion with Evan Soroka
DESCRIPTION:3 day immersion: June 2nd\, 9th\, 16th \nOverview: In today’s fast-paced world\, the quest for calm and clarity is more pertinent than ever. Yet\, many express a common barrier: “I can’t meditate.” The “Pathway to Stillness” immersion dismantles this notion by illuminating yoga not just as a physical discipline but as a profound preparation for meditation. This immersive experience is designed as a comprehensive blueprint guiding participants towards achieving a meditative state\, emphasizing that the journey to meditation is as significant as the destination itself. \nCore Premise: Yoga is often celebrated for its physical benefits\, yet its most profound gift lies in its ability to prepare the body and mind for deep meditation. “Pathway to Stillness” redefines yoga practice as the foundational groundwork\, a preparatory path leading toward the ultimate goal of meditation. This immersion is crafted around the principle that before we can reach the peaks of meditation\, we must embark on a preparatory journey—laying the groundwork through yoga.

SUMMARY:Men's Ceremonial Breathwork Circle
DESCRIPTION:A breath-driven somatic experience held in a men’s ceremonial context.\n— \nIt’s a confusing time to be a man in the world. \nHow do we step up and lead our lives without being dominant or overbearing? \nHow do we shed broken stories about what it means to be a man\, while also gleaning age-old wisdom? \nHow can we grow into the caring and responsible men our loved ones deserve? \nWithin this lifelong inquiry\, many of us struggle with healthy expression of what we do indeed feel. \nMen need spaces to be supported and challenged by other men that are committed to being the best they can be\, and to safely express the fullness of their experience.\nWithin a container of fierce and nurturing masculine community\, we will engage in an activating breathwork practice that supports clearing and letting go of the weight we all carry. \nThis is an opportunity to deep-clean and reset the nervous system\, to hit the pressure release valve in a way that allows us to return to our lives with a renewed sense of nourishment\, purpose\, and power. \nJoin us.

SUMMARY:Breathwork
DESCRIPTION:Since the fall of 2022\, we have had the pleasure of offering complimentary breathwork sessions throughout the Roaring Fork community. We are grateful to have Allison Alexander on board to thoughtfully lead us during these sessions which provide the perfect environment for one to relax and surrender\, an opportunity to reconnect with ourselves\, and to feel our hearts and souls. A time to honor oneself and our loved ones and feel a sense of ease and acceptance. Breathwork sessions are also incredible in that they create a safe container for people to move and express emotions they are both consciously aware of and those that are subconsciously impacting their lives without the need to put them into words.

SUMMARY:We Can Be Heroes - A Social Impact Film
DESCRIPTION:Recovery Resources and Under the Hood Productions are excited to present WE CAN BE HEROES\, a powerful documentary film that shines a light on the complexities of addiction and the strength of the human spirit. WE CAN BE HEROES follows Detroit boxer Taylor “Machine Gun” Duerr in the fight of his life – both inside and outside the ring – training for the WBAC Cruiserweight title and battling the demons of drug addiction. \n“I’ve already been dead\, what are you gonna do to me?” -Taylor Duerr \nWE CAN BE HEROES is a social impact film screening that will launch community discussion around the complexities of drug and alcohol addiction – a topic that’s deeply relevant in our mountain resort towns. The film’s mission is to replace stigma with understanding and compassion for those who are battling the daily challenges of addiction. We’ll host a talk-back session with Taylor following the film\, giving the audience a chance to ask questions and learn about Taylor’s lived experience as both an athlete and addict. Film-goers will walk away with a better understanding of substance use disorder\, how it affects our community\, and what can be done to battle this insidious disease. \n“Until the stigma of addiction is removed those who need help are less likely to seek it…and those who can help are less able to offer it.”

SUMMARY:Shamanic Breathwork Journey: Unveiling the Subconscious with Levitie
DESCRIPTION:Shamanic Breathwork is a powerful tool for gaining access to answers just underneath the surface of your conscious mind. It serves to help you understand the patterns\, blocks\, and barriers that are ready to be released. \nSmall group journeys are incredible opportunities for planting\, sowing\, and harvesting the seeds of transformation. This session includes an intro to breathwork\, an approx 1+ hour breathwork journey\, and group sharing circle. Shamanic Breathwork Journeying uses a breathing technique\, chakra attuned music (played at high volume)\, and drumming or rattling to allow your unconscious to be made conscious in order to rapidly facilitate healing\, transformation\, and growth. \nShamanic Breathwork Journeying uses a breathing technique\, chakra attuned music\, and\ndrumming or rattling to allow your subconscious to be made conscious. This manner of tapping into your own wisdom rapidly facilitates healing and transformation as it works on every level of your being at the same time (physical\, energetic\, emotional\, spiritual and mental). All of the knowledge and wisdom lies within you\, this process simply helps you to access\, and integrate it into your life. Each session includes time for conversational verbal/emotional processing. \nBreathwork was adopted by psychiatrists and psychologists in the 1970’s as a more efficient\nmodality than talk therapy. It allows you to access a non-ordinary state of consciousness\, using your breath\, to surface whatever needs to emerge for you personally at this time. \nBenefits:\n– Release suppressed emotion\n– Move stuck energy\n– Understand patterns in your life from the root cause\, including ancestral and/or past life\ninfluences\n– Expand consciousness\n– Release limiting beliefs\n– Reveal areas for growth and energetic expansion

SUMMARY:HeadQuarters: The Big Five
DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION REQUIRED\n \nWilliam James\, known as “The father of American Psychology\,” once said\, “The great thing then\, in all education\, is to make your nervous system your ally rather than your enemy.” All forms of health and wellness connect to this idea in one way or another. \nThe Big Five: One-On-One Coaching\nHow to optimize nervous system function via the science of sleep\, exercise\, nutrition\, stress management\, and social connection. \nThis workshop delves into the neurobiology underpinning the five fundamental aspects of Mental Fitness. We’ll embark on an in-depth exploration of the brain’s science\, examining how the content stored within our brains\, along with our intentional or unintentional practices\, affects us and our bodies as a whole. You’ll discover minor adjustments that can enable your brain to work in your favor\, thereby enhancing your Mental Fitness. \nWhat is one-on-one coaching and what does this MFIT Session entail? \n\n\n\n\nIn this special session\, you will have the opportunity to work with a credentialed professional. We will begin with a group discussion about the material covered in the month’s first session. You will then participate in an activity designed to help you set a goal and focus on a habit change you wish to address over the next month. Following this\, you will have dedicated one-on-one time with Parker Kennedy to ensure your goal is realistic\, purposeful\, and practical. Parker will assist you in finding the tools and resources necessary to achieve your goal. \nSpace is limited to 5 people\, if you are unable to register email lindsey@headq.org\nScholarships are available\, email lindsey@headq.org for more information. \n\n\n\n\n  \nMEET YOUR FACILITATOR\n \nParker Kennedy\, former University of Washington decathlete and current 800m Olympic hopeful\, is constantly thinking of ways to help others deepen their understanding of self and unlock their full potential. Driven by a deep curiosity about the human mind and its impact on well-being\, Parker has spent the last half of his life studying the world of neurobiology and personal development. \nHis interdisciplinary background in personal transformation and M.Ed. in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership\, coupled with years of experience in education and mental health\, equip him with a powerful understanding of the mind-body connection. Parker’s passion lies in empowering individuals to optimize their lives\, build mental resilience\, and cultivate lasting well-being. \n\nREGISTRATION REQUIRED
