Finding Fatherhood is a five-session therapeutic support and education group for expectant dads and fathers of children under 12 months of age. The group recognizes the process of becoming a father as an existential shift with the capacity to forge or fray any man. For men with an interest in leveraging the birth of a child to grow into a stronger, more mindful father, partner, and human, this group is an ideal fit. It’s structured to support the journey of becoming a new or better father in a setting that is compassionate, informative, and practical.
Participants Will Gain:
– Peer Support: Connect with other new fathers navigating similar challenges.
– Essential Knowledge: Learn about forming secure, emotionally supportive relationships with their child.
– Partner Support Skills: Strengthen relational skills to better support their partner’s journey into parenthood.
– Self-Care Tools: Learn self-regulation techniques and strategies to handle stress.
