We work at the level of how the brain networks that run throughout the body determine how you maintain health and how you heal. So that means, neuroscience-driven medical practitioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists and mental health practitioners, etc. best prevent barriers to health and heal people together depending on what brain networks are impacted in the body. We are pleased to announce our expansion into a progressive, interdisciplinary psychological health care practice that focuses on streamlining coordinated prevention, assessment and treatment of many health concerns including by not limited to what were traditionally singled out as mental health and developmental disorders. Our Executive Director, Dr. Krista Swanson, brings the best of what she learned and taught integrating psychological well-being and developmental strength across the health disciplines at top hospitals on pioneering interdisciplinary teams. The promotion of healthy brain networks and functioning is so deeply physiological that we wouldn’t work any other way than from a holistic health approach. This does not mean that we abandon psychotherapy as you may expect it to be. We integrate the best of it into what we now understand about the brain and body.
Our passion is relationships, so our approach is relationship-based. We help you to reach your psychotherapy goals via Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and/or Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Sensory Integration Therapy (and/or play therapy with your children). It means that when we work with you and your relationships to self and others, we first work at the level of how your relationships influence and are influenced by your unique-to-you nervous system. It means that when indicated, we streamline your comprehensive care across health professionals for the most efficient, effective and sustainable self-transformation. You will always collaborate in all assessment, treatment and consultation decisions as a member of the team as you heal and meet your health goals for your body, mind and spirit.
We work with expectant parents, infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, and adults. We offer our expertise in optimizing your nervous system regulation and executive functioning. We offer our expertise in treating neurodiversity (such as autism and ADHD) and complex trauma, mood disorders (such as anxiety and depression), obsessions and compulsions and disorders of dysregulation and defiance. We work with those experiencing serious mental illness such as psychosis, eating disorders, self-harm, and suicidality. We work with those spiritually seeking and those who are surviving religious/spiritual abuse, members of the LGBTQIA+ community. We work with artists navigating the complexities of creative life. We work with the impacts of having/ or having growing up with narcissism, addiction, abuse and neglect in the family.
