Charlotte Margulies

Description

Charlotte L. Margulies is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She attended the University of Virginia and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Charlotte then attended Boston College Graduate School of Social Work to pursue a Masters of Social Work with a focus in Clinical Mental Health.

Charlotte’s 12 year clinical experience includes working in a variety of mental health settings in Boston, Denver, and now Aspen, holding positions such as  Clinical Supervisor, School-Based Therapist, Community-Based Therapist, Home-based Therapist, Lead Care Coordinator, Group Therapy Coordinator, and Crisis Interventionist, with community mental health agencies such as Wayside Youth and Family Support Network in Boston, MA, and Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Denver, CO, working closely with community partners such as the Department of Mental Health and Department of Child and Family Services. Additionally, Charlotte has worked in community development, and provides trainings to parents, school staff, clinical staff, and communities on topics such as Attachment Theory, Brain Development, and Positive Psychology. Charlotte sits on the board of CASA of the Ninth Judicial district, which serves to provide court appointed special advocates for victims of child abuse and neglect.

Charlotte is experienced in treating the acute mental health needs of adolescents, adults, and families, including but not limited to mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, attachment issues, eating disorders, relationship and communication issues, and parenting support and education. Charlotte has extensive training in EMDR, Attachment-based therapies, Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS), Interpersonal Neurobiology, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. LENS Neurofeedback can be used to address a variety of mood disorders, PTSD, chronic pain, sleep issues, ADHD, Anxiety, headaches, performance issues, behavioral concerns, etc. LENS Neurofeedback can be utilized on its own, or in conjunction with EMDR and other therapies. Charlotte provides individual and group clinical supervision to both seasoned therapists and therapists seeking licensure.
